Equivalent to strap locks for acoustic with end pin jack?

so I have strap locks on my electrics

ive now got a big jumbo acoustic with an end pin jack; on looking at it, it doesn’t seem to have a lot of “surety” in keeping the strap on the guitar during live playing

is there an equivalent or completely different technique of “locking” the strap to an acoustic end pin?

im guessing when there is a cable plugged in, there is a level of protection, but wondering what others do?

I tend not to bother too much as the strap I use is quite grippy on its own, but for other situations where traditional strap locks aren't viable have used:

a) d'Addario locking strap - the lock mechanism is built into the strap end, and works with conventional pins. Not sure if they do one that's wide enough for a jack end pin, but worth a look.

b) little rubber washer thingies that you put on after the strap, and have to stretch over the pin, so they effectively won't come off without some effort (use these on a Starfire with Bigsby-like trem where the metalwork precludes using the d'Addario thing already mentioned)

Thank you for posting this! It answers the exact question that I was pondering too. I am always worried about strap security on my Taylor!

You’ve saved from from asking the same question myself as I’ve just had this dilemma with my newly acquired Martin, the strap just doesn’t sit properly on the end pin.

One Tapastring “Strapkeeper” just ordered - £7.50, money well spent hopefully - for piece of mind alone!
