I have recently bought an Egnater 2x12 so I need to move my Laney VC30 on. I do love this amp but I certainly don't need two 30W valve combos and I need the space.
This is a 30 watt 1x12 combo. It has two inputs for hi and low output guitars, two footswitchable channels, with a shared three band EQ and a bright switch. It has built in reverb and an effects loop which is switchable between 0dBu and -10dBu. It has an output for an 8 or 16 ohm cab. The built in speaker is a Celestion 70. The footswitch will be included along with the amp.
According to Laney the combo runs in pure Class A mode and is a modern version of the Vox AC30. It certainly feels very responsive and can be controlled easily through the dynamics of your playing and riding the volume of your guitar. The clean channel is great and remains clean almost all the way to the maximum volume, when it begins to break up. However this amp can get seriously loud and is easily capable of staying clean for pub gigs. The drive channel is very British but if you goose the input then the gain really sings and you can get some really raunchy tones out of it.
Here are some samples of the amp doing clean, crunch and full whack.
A couple of YouTube demos follow:
The amp is in decent condition apart from a few bumps in the tolex and the covering which is coming off part of the handle. I've had it about 18 months and it's been gigged every couple of weeks over that period.

If you're collecting then I'm in the Stockport area of Manchester and would be happy to meet halfway if you're not a huge distance away.
I'm looking for £200 which is slightly less than they go for on auction sites but they generally don't include the footswitch and I can avoid ebay fees. If you're not collecting then I'll need to add another £20 for shipping. I am up for trades but I'm not entirely sure what I'm in the market for. I don't really need amps or guitars but I'm always open to pedals and effects of equal value or with cash.
